Donuts / Shakoy


 Ingredients:

400g Flour 

1 egg, beaten lightly

2 tbsp. Sunflower oil

1/4 cup Sugar

1 cup Warm Milk

1/2 tsp Vanilla powder or a tsp of Liquid 

A pinch Salt 

1 sachet of Yeast

Oil for frying 


Procedure: 

Combine flour, yeast, 1 tsp of Sugar and salt. 

Warm the milk in a pan, dissolve the sugar. Leave it rest for 

5 min. then add the oil, beaten egg & vanilla. 

Add the liquid mixture to the flour mixture. Using the bread hook, knead the mixture for 5 min then form into a ball. In a bowl, leave the dough to rise for at least 1 hour or at least its doubled in size. Mould to donuts or twists to make shakoy, leave it to rise for another hour before frying.
